Midweek Confessions

Time again for Midweek Confessions.  I was raised in South Louisiana in a Baptist family, so confession was not a part of what we did on a regular basis - at least not publicly.  That was done privately, or when the guilt was so unbearable that you had to tell you mom that you sneaked out of the bedroom window in the middle of the daytime and broke the screen.  For the record, that confessor was not me, but little bro.  This week, I have a few things to get off of my chest...

1.  I wanted to commit to exercising every day this week, but after the first day of workouts, I've been so sore that I cannot even sit on a toilet without grimacing in pain, bend over to pick anything up, walk up the stairs without looking like I've just birthed a baby, or put my socks on well.  So, I've had to skip 2 days in a row until I can move again.

2.  Related to number 1: Today when I stopped at Walmart to pick up a few things for dinner, I went to the restroom.  At that time, I've never been more thankful for an open handicapped stall.  I didn't have to fall on the seat thanks to the handrails and the taller toilet.  *Sorry if that was too much for some of you :)

3.  I'm not a big fan of Bowl Week.  While many of my friends, were disappointed that the Carolina game was at 1:00 pm and we had to work in the middle of it, I didn't mind.  I did mind being at school, but not missing the game.  Last night, I wasn't sorry that I went to bed and read during the Fiesta Bowl and the Sugar Bowl.  The only thing that interested me about the Sugar Bowl were the shots of New Orleans.

4.  My Christmas tree is still up because I'm too lazy to take it down.  Besides, it adds a little something something to the living room.  Maybe we'll just decorate it for Valentine's.

5.  Today I volunteered to be a guinea pig in a healthy eating project in our school district.  For the next 8 weeks I get to eat school lunch EVERY DAY (we have organic and healthy choices), record my weight, and get a FREE membership for 8 weeks to the YMCA.  Did you hear that - FREE!!!  My entire motivation was the fact that free membership, I need someone to hold me accountable.

6.  I gave my reading benchmarks the week before Christmas and yet they still sit in my bag without any analysis complete.

7.  It's freezing in my house, but I don't want to get up and turn the heat up because I'm too sore.

Want to confess?  Join us over at E, Myself, and I or just go and read some others.

Loved reading your confessions. I have been so sore that it hurts to go to the bathroom so I hear ya!!!!
And that Healthy Eating Guinea Pig thing is awesome. You also don't have to make your lunch every day- that alone might sell me on it! :)

I am SO jealous of that program through your school system... We definitely do NOT have healthy options for lunch, no matter what they say.

My Christmas tree is still up too! No worries!

Thanks for playing!
