30 Things: #4 10 Things You Would Tell Your 16 Year Old Self

1.  Choose good girlfriends.  Those girls that will always be there no matter what you wear, what you look like, and how mean you may get when in a bad mood.  When you are out of school and on the other side of your teens, these girls will mean the world to you.

2.  When choosing a career, choose something that you LOVE.  If you don't love it, you will not give your heart and soul and will merely exist.

3.  Don't compare yourself to anyone else, because you are the best you anyone can be.

4.  Find your style and stick with it.  If you like jeans and t-shirts, wear them every day - regardless of what anyone else says or thinks.  If flip-flops rock your world, wear them with everything.

5.  Don't waste your time worrying about getting a date in high school.  If you are living your life the way you want and the way you should, you will be content.  The right person will come along.

6.  Exercise now, not later.  It's hard to create a habit if you've never had one.

7.  Love shamelessly - all people around you.  You never know when they may not be here.

8.  Tell your teachers thank you for all the work they do to contribute to your learning.  You won't know just how much sacrifice they have poured into their job until you are either a teacher or have children.

9.  Tell your parents thank you for helping to mold you into the person you will become.  Even the negative experiences help do that.

10.  Play more and laugh often.  When you have bills to pay and a job, life may not have as many opportunities to get away with groups of friends.
